Waiting & no-show

How long we wait and what it costs

Version 2026-08-01 · cabi.ie/policies/waiting

Draft — not yet legally reviewed. Written to be consistent with published NTA rules, but not signed off by a solicitor.

Waiting at pick-up

Airport collections

Different rules, because they should be. We track your flight and the free waiting period starts 45 minutes after the flight actually lands, not after the scheduled landing time — that is roughly how long it takes to clear the aircraft and collect bags at Dublin. A delayed flight costs you nothing.

No-show

A booking becomes a no-show when the driver has been at the agreed address for 30 minutes and has attempted contact at least twice, by phone and by text, at the number you gave us. The full fare is charged. We will always show you the contact log if you dispute it.

Stops along the way

A short stop agreed in advance — a pharmacy, collecting someone — is included in your fixed price. An unplanned stop is charged at the per-minute rate for the time the vehicle is stationary. Ask when you book and it costs you nothing.

If the driver is late

These are ours, not the NTA's. We think an operator that charges for your lateness and not for its own is not one you should use twice.
