How a CABI journey actually works

Version 2026-08-01 · cabi.ie/policies/how-to-book

Draft — not yet legally reviewed. Written to be consistent with published NTA rules, but not signed off by a solicitor.

CABI is a pre-booked service. There is no meter reading at the end of your journey and no rank to flag us down at — every CABI is agreed in advance, in writing, at a price you have already seen.

How to book

How far ahead to book

On the day

Your driver arrives at the agreed time and comes to the door unless you have asked otherwise. You get 15 minutes of free waiting from the agreed time. If you are running late, ring or text the driver — they will wait where they can, and waiting beyond 15 minutes is charged at the NTA per-minute rate and itemised on your receipt.

If your flight is delayed and we are collecting you from the airport, we track it. Your pick-up moves with the flight at no extra cost.
