Who you are contracting with
CABI is a licensed dispatch operator arranging journeys with independently licensed SPSV drivers. When you book, you contract with CABI for the arrangement of the journey and for the price. Your driver holds their own NTA SPSV licence and is responsible for the driving itself.
Your quote and your booking
- A quote is an offer at a fixed price, open until it expires.
- A booking exists when the quote is paid. Not before — an unpaid quote holds nothing.
- Your price will not exceed the NTA maximum metered fare for that journey. That is the guarantee the whole service rests on.
- Give us accurate details. If the journey turns out to be materially different from what you described, we may requote before travelling.
What we commit to
- A licensed driver and a suitable vehicle at the agreed time and place.
- The price we quoted, whatever the traffic does.
- Telling you promptly and honestly if we cannot cover your booking.
What we do not accept liability for
- Missed flights, trains or appointments, except where the delay was caused by CABI's own failure — in which case we will deal with you fairly and individually rather than by formula.
- Road closures, weather, industrial action or other events outside our control.
- Property left in a vehicle, beyond the lost-property handling above.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 are unaffected. These terms are governed by Irish law and subject to the Irish courts.
Changes to these terms
Terms are versioned. Your booking is governed by the version that was live when you made it, and that version number is recorded on your quote and your receipt. Changes never apply retrospectively.
