Every CABI price is a fixed quote, agreed with you in writing before you travel. Abi prices each journey individually — the route, the time of day, the vehicle and what you have told us about the trip. It is a bespoke price for the journey you have asked for, in the way a private car or limousine service is priced, rather than a figure that accumulates on a meter while you sit in traffic.
There is no surge pricing on any CABI journey, and once a quote is accepted the price does not move.
What the price already includes
- The whole journey as quoted, however long it actually takes.
- Bad traffic, a longer route than expected, or a delay that is not your doing. Your price is fixed — that risk is ours.
- A short stop agreed in advance.
What can be added
- Booking fee €3.00 — applies to every pre-booked journey, by app, phone or in person.
- Each additional adult €1.00 — the first passenger is included.
- Children under 12 — one travels free, then €1.00 for every two children.
- Tolls — added as incurred and itemised on your receipt. If the Port Tunnel or M50 is on your route, we tell you before you pay, not after.
Anything chargeable is shown on your quote before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards.
What is never charged extra
- A wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Charging more for a WAV is prohibited, and we would not do it in any case.
- Travelling with a pet.
- Requesting a female driver.
- Paying by card. Card surcharges have been prohibited on Irish taxi work since September 2022.
- The first 15 minutes of waiting.
