Every CABI price is a fixed quote that is capped at the National Transport Authority maximum metered fare for that journey. You will never pay more than a metered taxi would have charged, and in almost every case you pay less. There is no surge pricing on any CABI journey — surge is not lawful on Irish taxi work, and we would not use it if it were.

Standard applies Monday to Saturday, 08:00–20:00. Premium applies at all other times, including Sundays and public holidays. A separate Special rate applies in the small hours of Friday and Saturday nights — confirm the exact figures against the current NTA Maximum Fare Order.
Extras — all set by the NTA, not by CABI
- Booking fee €3.00 — applies to every pre-booked journey, by app, phone or in person.
- Each additional adult €1.00 — the first passenger is included.
- Children under 12 — one travels free, then €1.00 for every two children.
- Tolls — added as incurred and itemised on your receipt. If the Port Tunnel or M50 is on your route, we tell you before you pay, not after.
What is never charged extra
- A wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Charging more for a WAV is prohibited under NTA rules and we would not do it in any case.
- Travelling with a pet.
- Paying by card. Card surcharges have been prohibited on Irish taxi work since September 2022.
- The first 15 minutes of waiting.
- Bad traffic, a longer route than expected, or a delay that is not your doing. Your price is fixed — that risk is ours.
